Glee Actress, Naya Rivera's Death is Revealed

It has been one day since Glee actress and rapper Big Sean's ex fiancé' , Naya Rivera's body was found in Lake Piru in California and examiners have released details on her autopsy.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner announced on Tuesday (July 14) the Glee star's cause of death was drowning and was ruled as an accident.

"The autopsy findings are consistent with a drowning and the condition of the body is consistent with the time that she was submerged. No traumatic injuries or disease processes were identified at autopsy. There is no indication from the investigation or examination that drugs or alcohol played a role in [Rivera's] death, but specimens will be submitted for toxicology testing," the press release obtained byPeople read.

Naya River was confirmed dead at age 33, Monday (July 13) , five days after her dissappearance during her boat ride at Lake Piru with her 4-year old son Josey Dorsey. Staff would find the boat at the north side of the lake, with Josey sleep wearing life jacket, after the rental exceeded the normal rental time of three hours.

Authorities searched the waters including dive teams and sonar technology for days, but efforts were complicated due to the conditions of the lake. On Monday morning, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office revealed a body was found in the lake.

"We are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera," Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said in a news conference on Monday afternoon. "It has been an extremely difficult time for her family throughout this ordeal ... our hearts are with them and we share in their grief for Naya’s loss."

It was said that Naya used her last breaths to save her son Josey, to get him back on the boat, but did not extude enough strength to save her self. Thoughts and prayers goes out to Naya Rivera and her family for this tragic loss.
